由于原先在台湾演出的版本“桃花源”是一个来自上海的剧团在台湾表演，如今因为来内地演出就改为一个到上海来演出的台湾剧团，而剧中的歌仔戏部分也会换成京剧。赖声川表示，这次虽然不会要求何炅、谢娜和喻恩泰唱京剧，但会对他们进行京剧表演的形体训练，以适应剧情的需要。
